Doorstop Boasting

    Congratulations, Dave. I stayed up to watch it. I was thrilled to see you win (though I thought some of the other competitors were very entertaining too). It looked unlikely for you there for a while, but you pulled through.

    Now I need to really improve my own game if I'm to survive my weekend in Las Vegas in a few weeks. Wish me luck.

    Well done Dave. Ms Coren sounded very impressed with you... if you know what I mean...

    The prize money was pretty good... you should do something really frivoulous with it. Buy some art or... have a sculpture comissioned of you playing poker... or stay in a penthouse suite at Claridge's for the night (the website says they have an in house florist for private arrangements).

    I expect you could find it on 4OD, you can watch any Channel 4 programme from the last week streamed live for free.

    Can't say I can really understand how poker works as a spectator sport.

    Thanks for that Keith, however I've just read the reply now after downloading at watching it last night via a popular UK torrent website ;-)

    Didn't think about 4OD!

    I can't confess to know anything about Poker, I don't play and apart from knowing the odd word or two, it was all nonsence to me. However I enjoyed watching it, and watching you win, especially with your celebration at the end..."IM RICH, IM RICH" hehe.

    P.S. Dave if you do get a carpet, make it a nice one.

    Though I think the best thing about the trophy is that it says 2008 and not, chronologically correctly, 2007.
