10, 9, 8, 7, 6...

Genius is on the launch pad. We film the first episode on Tuesday and the second on Wednesday.

Face 98, originally uploaded by Dave Gorman.

Then it's non-stop til it's all filmed. We have some amazing guests booked. I'm looking forward to it. I have meetings on Monday. About details. I'm bored of the details. I want to get in the studio and make the thing.

The devil is in the detail, so watch out.

When does the first episode air?

This is all very exciting, well done Dave.

I wanted to come to a filming, but I seem to be on some BBC black list... or Dave Gorman blacklist. Whose ever blacklist it is that means I wasn't allocated a couple of tickets.

@sickboy
I registered at the BBC ticket site - http://www.bbc.co.uk/tickets/

The ticket system does seem to be a bit doolally at the moment though - I asked for a single ticket for the 24th and the 1st, but was sent 2 for each...

Hope it goes really well Dave. Richard Madley is a a fan. He told me a Genius related story about mini elephants that confused me quite a lot...

Right, straight off the bat - I have 4 tickets spare for the 1st Oct recording of Genius - get in touch (e-mail address is on my website)!

Dave, loved the recording last night!

Although may I suggest an improvement for you to pass through the channels at BBC TV Centre if you possibly can - if someone in a large group of audience attendees forgets their tickets, but rings the BBC Ticket line and gets told that their name will be on the door, but it isnt when they get there, and much annoyance and confusion and stress ensues - then the night is made less enjoyable. I know it's nothing to do with you put it is part of the show set up and it was...erm..."exciting" shall we say.

Also, I know this is probably a run-of-the-mill Radio-to-Telly thing but I really was hoping there would be brand new fresh Genius ideas being used last night, instead of ones previously from the radio show!

Oh and one more thing - watching that certain blue-shirted gentlemans performance was the most arkward thing I've sat through in my entire life :-)

Hi Dave,
Look forward to seeing it. We rarely get comedy down here in Devon so have to rely on TV. Or stick cellotape to our pets feet (does not work with fish).

I've had so many hours of amusement doing that - my partner and I own five cats and with selotape on all four paws of all five cats you can imagine the bedlam!!!!
