I don't understand when good-looking men grow beards. It's a not a face that needs hiding! Argon's just as daft. I think you look better without, but it's not my opinion that matters, it's the new Mrs!
Dave! Loving the handlebar and frankly the moustache really suits you. You look uber young sans facial hair.
I did this after growing what became affectionately known as my 'snowboarding' beard at the beginning of the year. There was much complaining on the part of the girlfriend for my extreme hirsutedness only to be replaced by complete disgust and cries of "you look like a child!!" when I removed it. It's true though, I did.
My initial response was 'aw, bless!' You look so young. My husband keeps tentatively suggesting he might possibly, one day, shave off his beard. I don't think so!
Whenever I have a beard for a while, and then shave it off, I find it a bit unsettling. I think I subconsciously expect to reveal the face of a younger me, and am disappointed to find that the face under the beard has aged at the same rate as the rest.
Last year I shaved off my beard for the first time in 5 years. I was terrified by the face underneath and thought it was just going to take a bit of getting used to. But after a week or so, I couldn't stand it anymore. I haven't shaved it off again since and I probably never will.
My husband shaved his beard off for exactly same reason as I'd never seen him without ... his idea I strongly add!
I HATED it, he just didn't look the same and I couldn't kiss him until he grew it back cos it just felt like a stranger and made me feel all uncomfortable!
My boyfriend shaved his rather large beard off after 5 yrs of us being together (me never having seen him without) and I was quite suprised to find he doesn't really have what you could call a chin. He's grown it back now and all is well again with the world.
Not bad at all. Still, better with the facial hair. Some guys look naked and immature without it, you look fine. But I do have a soft spot for beards and mustaches.
On the few occasions I've shaved mine off over the last 20 years I don't even recognise myslef in the mirror and my wife just complains until I grow it back.

I feel lost when I shave mine off. I'm making an effort to keep it this time round...
what, no hitler?
you need one of those full face male bespoke razors.

Dave, are you going to grow back those badass sideburns you had a few years ago. They were beasts !!

You have to grow it back otherwise you look nothing like your driving licence picture.

You look fine with and without the beard, but in these pics most of all you look like you're in love. Get Mrs G to take all your publicity shots?
Wrong time of year to be shaving a beard off I would have thought.. looks good though!
It's very strange seeing you without facial hair after following you ( not literally) career wise since seeing you do the Dave Gorman collection.
The handlebar picture looks a look like Morgan Spurlock.
You look so much younger without it! Good lord, you've taken years off with the hair!
Ooh! Young man, young man!
It's stopped you looking like Van Gogh... it's no use, you'll have to grow it back and lop off an ear!

ARRRRRRRGGGHHHHHH MY EYES! PUT IT BACK! PUT IT BACK!
Or not. Y'know, either way.
And I echo @Dee's Diary. The ernest frown has gone!

You look very aerodynamic.
I shaved off mine and was surprised at how everyone said how much younger I looked. I'm 24. That's not really a compliment yet.
